Vincent Lamar Carter Jr. aka Vince Carter has been married twice, first to a chiropractor and after that to a fitness trainer.
The NBA player is known for his legendary dunks. His first wife, Ellen Rucker, also has a person in her life now, and so does Vince.
He and his first wife were high school sweethearts, who welcomed their daughter Kai Michelle Carter in 2005. A year later, their relationship went sour, and they parted ways. Now, Vince is living blissfully with his wife Sondi Carter.
When Did Vince Meet His Wife Sondi?
When Vince and Sondi started dating is still a mystery. We believe they met in the 2000s, after he divorced his first wife.
According to Sondi’s Facebook, she and Vince officially started their relationship on June 21, 2009. Apart from that, there is no information about their relationship timeline.
Sondi Carter Is A Fitness Trainer
Vince’s wife Sondi is no ordinary partner, she is a fitness trainer.
After majoring in psychology from the University of Maryland, she also holds Masters of Science degree from Columbia University. Moreover, she is a certified fitness trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Sondi had her internship at Altheus The Advance Health and Performance Center, where she learned about diet and exercise. Her qualifications? She has CPR/AED certification, and is a competitive gymnast.
Vince And Sondi’s Children
Vince and Sondi, the power couple share two kids. Their son is named after Vince himself, Vincent Lamar Carter Jr, and their daughter is Vayle Elizabeth Carter.

Robbery Case
Vince and Sondi always kept their life a low-key, but one robbery case back in 2022 blew up their cover. On Father’s Day in 2022, the couple had to witness a near $100,000 robbery.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, as per reported by PEOPLE magazine, Sondi found herself in a terrifying situation. At around 11:50 PM, Sondi was with her two children when she heard louse noises. She quickly dialed 911, and hid herself and kids inside a bedroom closet.
When the police arrived, they found masked man dressed in all black. The number of suspects are still unknown.
